Going beyond 3D modelling to incorporate further dimensions of time, cost, and even asbuilt operation, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has introduced more collaborative and automated ways of working for professionals in the construction industry. BIM also offers lucrative benefits for related sectors such as architecture, furniture, design, communication, home automation, interaction, and urban planning. However, not all industries are making use of BIM technology which can help them explore the endless possibilities of digital transformation. One of the biggest challenges organisations face is grasping the concept and understanding of BIM regarding how it is used and the benefits it entails. To ease the acceptance of BIM across industries, YepSketch offers an online library of manufacturerapproved 3D models and BIM content for professionals, including architects, designers, builders, developers, manufacturers, and consumers. “We offer a free showcase and a revenue stream, which gives professionals the ability to access and download 3D models of their products in the 12 main formats required by the market, making them ready to insert in their projects,” says Jodene Denton, CEO and founder, YepSketch. Clients can benefit from YepSketch’s creative representations, 3D models, renderings, animation, virtual reality, product configuration, as well as consultancy on digital tools, including BIM and digital construction. YepSketch also provides training, information seminars, and meetings with clients to assist in the process of understanding BIM along with tailored solutions and strategies to suit individual needs.
The genesis of YepSketch goes back to 2010 when Jodene worked in the kitchen design industry, witnessing architects’ mass demand for a centralised library that consisted of 3D models and content. After painstaking research, she founded YepSketch to offer a library consisting of a full range of 3D and BIM files. A decade later, the company still has a competitive advantage in today’s market and has become a tool for the designers, builders, architects, etc. Over the years, YepSketch has introduced other 3D services including lifestyle and product rendering, product configurators and visualisers, and virtual reality and animations. “With such growth and demand we decided to make YepSketch the ‘mother company’ which saw the development and inclusion of Yeplibrary (a 3D library) and Yepstudio (a 3D creative agency),” remarks Jodene.
YepSketch’s library, the Yeplibrary is a dual service offering digitalisation and free hosting for companies that want to distribute their products digitally across 3D and BIM models. Clients can engage YepSketch to build their catalogues of 3D models and then choose Yeplibrary to host them alongside other prestigious brands.
Turning the Impossible into Possible
All the content goes through stringent QC and approval, both internally and through the manufacturer. The presence of a brand on Yeplibrary allows for strategic inclusions of products and brands for professional projects, this largely increases the sales opportunity for the client.
Through its Yeplibrary, the company focuses on providing high-quality 3D and BIM products in the luxury sector of design including a wide range of objects from luxury furnishing, interior finishes, kitchens and bathroom products, building materials, and more. YepSketch is continually growing its library to meet every need. Certainty, immediacy, and availability of 3D and BIM models in several formats ensure that the models will be universally compatible with any software program. “Our vision is to constantly grow and expand the brand and product offerings in our library to ensure we are the best library in the world,” states Jodene.

Similarly, designers can use Yeplibrary’s easy-to-find tools and services for 3D and BIM models of existing products. For registered designers, Yeplibrary offers constant updates on news and technical skills to make the best use of its models. “We are always responsive and available to answer to designer’s requests. The company will soon introduce tutorials to address the operational and strategic aspects to take full advantage of Yeplibrary and its models,” announces Jodene. Unlike many of its competitors, Yeplibrary consists of only the models approved by its customer brands. This protects its customer brands and their corporate know-how as well as gives designers the certainty of having models with reliable shapes, textures, and information. Brands can also receive assistance in the form of traffic and download information on specific pages and products through the subscription platform, Yeplibrary. YepSketch holds BIM training courses and will release a series of explanatory videos on the importance and the ways of using BIM, not only for professionals but also for manufacturing and furniture companies, brands, and designers. “We also offer support on how to present products and insert them in our collection area to better communicate products and positioning,” declares Jodene.
YepSketch’s creative agency, Yepstudio, offers personalised design solutions for 360-degree product views. The agency not only recreates realistic scenarios but bends reality to new meanings to give power to clients’ communication. Yepstudio can create the possible worlds and scenarios of ‘tomorrow,’ giving life to the client’s products and projects. “We develop projects tailored to our client’s needs. Our expertise in creating digital reality allows us to develop and explore new boundaries, including light, shadow, shapes, and materials to simulate the ideal project.

We also provide a service, if requested, of creative and artistic direction,” mentions Jodene. The Yepstudio team consists of 3D artists, art directors, architects, and interior designers who understand client’s needs to offer fresh ideas, breathtaking scenery, and concepts to showcase their brand in a spectacular fashion. With its two sister companies, YepSketch works with a wide array of clients from the kitchen and bathroom industry right through to construction and mining. “As we have been in the 3D field for over ten years, we have a thorough understanding of exactly what each industry field needs and are able to fit into their requirements,” adds Jodene.
Novel Additions to the 3D World
As parametric and semantic software such as BIM is quickly becoming the future of designing, YepSketch is constantly developing unique software, codes, and scripts to offer innovative developments in the 3D world. The company is currently working on a system that automatically manages orders and the issuing of estimates to give quick answers to customers. At the same time, the company is implementing AI, machine learning, and virtual reality in the workplace, maintenance, and facility management. In the coming years, YepSketch aims to develop sustainability in design through BIM. “We come from the technical world comprising 160 design and technical staff worldwide, and we like to keep our feet on the ground, but in the same way we have decided to invest a part of the time of our most brilliant employees in the research and development of new possible business,” remarks Jodene. To have a constantly updated role and transverse, the company participates in many international furnishing, construction, and digitisation fairs.
As a global company with clients in Australia, New Zealand, North and South America, and Asia, YepSketch is working towards expanding its reach to share its BIM knowledge to the European markets. “We are investing heavily in the European market and are positioning new models of high-end and luxury products after significantly modernising our platform,” adds Jodene. Further, the company’s European team is equipping itself with the necessary expertise to meet all demands that are required in addressing BIM calls and projects. The platform has also undergone significant changes to meet the expectations of this new market. “We have five-year and annual plans to conquer the European market with the required organisation and consultancy services that cover all the project phases for designers, professionals, and companies,” Jodene concludes.
